The Director, Third-Party Data, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P) will lead the Market Data Service (MDS), KPMG's firmwide third-party data strategy and asset management team, embedded within a new, firmwide Strategic Data Program that enables data-driven GenAI and analytics objectives. Responsibilities: Oversee a team of three within MDS to develop, execute, and lead category management strategies for third-party data products and services, including company/news/sector/market/alternative business intelligence data feeds, legal/regulatory research, guides, standards, professional journals, publications, and subscriptions. Develop innovative commercial models beyond traditional data licensing to support KPMG's evolving GenAI-infused, cross-functional GTM, and service delivery models. Manage and support cross-functional teams through sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and vendor management processes. Collaborate with legal, compliance, and risk departments to ensure adherence to policies and contractual obligations. Monitor the third-party data market for best practices, demand/supply shifts, new entrants, technology innovations, and market trends. Track, refine, and report on third-party spend, negotiated savings, contracting cycle times, and operational KPIs. Qualifications: Minimum of ten years of recent experience in the third-party data space or related roles involving sourcing, structuring, and funding third-party data contracts, with success in complex positions. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; Master's degree preferred. CRBPM or CTPRP certifications are also preferred. Deep knowledge of standard third-party data providers, their products, and commercial models. Proven ability to deliver business impact in complex environments, with strong influencing and stakeholder engagement skills. Technologically proficient with advanced skills in MS Office, BI analytics, workflow, and P2P software.
