Join to apply for the Pool Monitor role at American Family Fitness . Objective: Providing a safe, clean aquatic area for our members. Reports to: Aquatic Manager (AM) Criteria: Life Guard Certification CPR and AED Certification Proficient oral, written, and technology communication skills (email/text) As an AFF team member, responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Getting and keeping members. Performing duties according to the company's Mission, Vision, Pillars of Success, Service Standards, and Business philosophy, aiming for net member growth, retention, and club profitability. Providing the highest quality customer service by greeting members warmly and positively, using their names when possible. Following the company Service Standards, AFF Training and Policy Manuals, and department-specific handbooks. Knowing the club's emergency response protocol and being prepared to act with safety as a priority. Arriving 10 minutes early and wearing the department-specific uniform. Participating actively in all department and club meetings. Being a team player and contributing to organizational goals. Maintaining open and honest communication with the team. Additional responsibilities as a Pool Monitor include: Adhering to industry and company Life Guard guidelines for safety. Staying current with AFF-approved certifications, including CPR/AED and specialty certifications, and providing current copies to the AM. Enforcing aquatic area rules while maintaining excellent customer service and providing a safe, enjoyable experience. Testing and recording pool chemistry, reporting issues to management. Providing instruction and facilitating fun, safe pool activities. Reporting equipment needs or malfunctions to the AM. Wearing appropriate, safe attire. Performing other duties as assigned.
