About the role\
\
We are looking for a Shift Electrician for the Resolution Copper Underground Operations and Maintenance Group, which is responsible for the safe maintenance and operation of the existing physical assets, consisting of a deep shaft, multiple mine levels and associated equipment and infrastructure.\
\
This role is a great opportunity to be involved in the application of effective whole-of-life asset management practices to achieve ongoing safe maintenance and operation of existing physical assets. Working 12-hour rotation shifts, 4 days on 4 off, 4 nights on 4 off and reporting to the Underground Electrical Supervisor, you will be:\
\
Performing maintenance tasks on equipment and plant systems, both underground and surface.\
Implementing electrical construction projects. Developing work orders and closing them out when work is completed.\
Identifying defects and providing feedback on asset performance, raising notifications when necessary.\
Mentoring Electrical Apprentices, teaching them how to safely troubleshoot and perform maintenance tasks on electrical equipment.\
About you\
\
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:\
\
Journeyman Electrical certification\
Five years of Electrical experience\
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels\
It will also be beneficial if you have: \
\
Underground operations and maintenance experience\
Experience with hoist control systems\
Experience with underground mine power systems\
Experience with instrumentation and control systems\
Experience with mine communications systems\
MSHA underground mine rescue qualification\

Where you will be working\

Resolution Copper has the potential to supply nearly 25% of the US copper demand and create several thousand direct and indirect jobs in the Pioneer Mining District of Arizona, with an economic value of several billion dollars over the estimated mine life.\
The project will rely on a technique called block caving to extract the deposit that lies more than 2,000 metres deep. This technique uses gravity to help remove the ore and is the most viable way to recover the resource. \
\
In 2019, the project achieved a significant milestone the release of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) by the US Forest Service (USFS). In anticipation of the Final EIS in 2020, Resolution Copper will continue underground development, conduct extensive drilling and orebody testing, plus maintain the permitting and public engagement process.\
