Overview POSITION SUMMARY: Remove hard drives from laptops and desktop computers, using KILL DISK software to erase hard drives with US DOD 5220.22-M method (3 passes). Assemble and test desktop towers, laptops, monitors, motherboards, video cards, power supplies, and DVD drives. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential duties. Collaborate with supervisor to establish timelines and achieve project goals. Disassemble and assemble donated computers and electronic items per Recycling Department procedures. Utilize 4DX methodology to meet organizational goals. Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and assist with computer equipment information. Stock the Computer Store to meet sales goals. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, supporting housekeeping duties. Assist customers with donations and issue donation receipts. Train employees on computer disassembly. Understand facility operations, including product flow, sorting, register operation, auctions, and dock area, while delivering excellent customer service. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Skills & Abilities: Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Experience: 6 months to 1 year related experience. Computer Skills: Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, and operating a computerized register. Certificates & Licenses: Computer Systems Certification preferred. Other Requirements: Vision (near and distance).
